Essential Barware
- Cocktail Shaker: A shaker is essential for mixing all the ingredients together for a uniform texture and that signature espresso martini froth.
- Strainer: A strainer will help remove ice shards and create a silky texture.
- Coupe Glass: A coupe glass is the classic vessel for serving an Espresso Martini.
Essential Ingredients
- Espresso: Freshly brewed espresso provides a bold coffee flavour and contributes to the overall texture of the cocktail. The best comes from an espresso machine but if you don’t have one, try an instant espresso powder!
- Vanilla Liqueur or Vodka: We love to use Licor 43 in our espresso martinis for the delicious vanilla notes that blend perfectly with espresso! A high-quality vodka also works and provides a clean, neutral base for the cocktail.
- Coffee Bitters: Our Covfefe Bitters are made with locally-sourced espresso beans, rich Tahitian vanilla beans, and a touch of lemon to enhance the espresso flavour and round out the cocktail.
Optional Add-ons
- Born to Shake Syrups: Experiment with our flavored cocktail syrups like our Old Fashioned Syrup to add complexity and sweetness.
- Born to Shake Bitters: A few dashes of our Shmok’n Chocolate Bitters will enhance the flavor profile.
